Our Values

Safety

All team members over the age of 18 go through a background check and receive training so that each child is safe and well cared for. In order to provide a safe environment for your children we have an established check-in process.

Age Appropriateness

Our environments and curriculum materials are created to meet the needs and interests of each specific age and developmental stage of childhood. We engage children in each unique phase of their life to help kids know God and apply God’s word to their life.

Fun

When kids have fun at church, they cannot wait to come back and bring their friends! We value creating fun environments where kids can learn about Jesus through games, activities, music, laughter and interactive experiences.

Relationships

We believe that the best way for kids to grow in their faith is to be around leaders who know, love, trust and follow Jesus.  Kids are given the opportunity to build relationships with peers and volunteers while deepening their relationship with Jesus.

Partnering with Parents

Did you know that this year, you will have over 3,000 hours with your children? At church, we have approximately 40 hours with them. Given these numbers, the church has limited potential to impact the heart of your child. As a church, we believe that partnering with your family, together we can provide greater spiritual influence as you lead your child into a growing friendship with Jesus. This is why we intentionally support and empower parents in their God given role and provide opportunities to combine the family with the faith community.

Check-in Process

New Families

Please plan to arrive at about 9:45 am. Look for the New Families check-in station in the church foyer. We will greet your family there, help you register your child for the appropriate age group, and print your name tags. If you like, you can save time by pre-registering before you arrive.

Returning/Registered Families

To provide the safest environment for your children, we have a check-in process for those who are registered in our system. Please check in all of your kids from infants through 5th grade before sitting down for worship. Here’s the process, which uses your mobile phone:

  1. Check in anytime after 9:30am - Use text messaging to check in on your way to church, from your parking spot, or anywhere on the campus. Text checkin to 650-386-0011, select family members attending that day, click check-in, and your kids’ name tags will be waiting for you in the church foyer when you arrive. This system works by recognizing parents’ unique mobile phone numbers. The security code for pick-up will be texted back to your phone.

  2. After checking in, babies (3 months and up), toddlers, and preschoolers go directly to their classrooms on the other side of the turf. Check-in volunteers can help guide you.

  3. After checking in, kids in TK-5th grade begin worship together with their families in the sanctuary or on the patio. They are called up to the front of the sanctuary before the sermon, or greeted by one of their leaders on the patio, and guided to Community Hall.

  4. After the service, please pick up your kids using the security code on your phone—grades K-5 in Community Hall and babies-preschoolers in their classrooms.
