Community Blood Drive

Blood of all types is always in high demand for hospital patients, and this a a great way to make a difference. Our NCC blood drives are hosted by Vitalant and we hope you’ll consider making a life-saving donation!

If you are age 16 or older, weigh at least 110 lbs., and are in generally good health, it is likely you are eligible to donate. There are a few exceptions, mostly related to travel to malaria prone areas or medications you are taking. If you have any questions about your eligibility, please contact Vitalant directly at 877.258.4825.

Appointments are preferred, but we can usually take a few walk-in donors.

Growing Older in Wisdom & Grace

What does it mean to age well? Women age 50+ are invited to join us as we explore some of the topics around walking with Jesus through stages of aging. The day will include times of teaching, as well as discussion, reflection and spiritual practices. Light breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included.

We are thrilled to have Rev. Joanie Tankersley as our guest speaker. Joanie has loved serving as a pastor for the past 45 years and is committed to sharing Jesus' mandate to “Seek first the Kingdom of God.” She is learning to be a care-giver for her husband of 52 years and takes every opportunity to hang out with her five grandchildren, hike in the Sierra Mountains with her doggie, Callie, and squeeze in reading historical fiction whenever possible.
